On this episode of Time for Change, I sat down with Michelle Dickinson, daughter of a bipolar mother, passionate about bringing mental health awareness to corporate America. Michelle Dickinson is the author of Breaking Into My Life- a memoir that chronicles the impact that growing up with a mentally-ill mother had on author Michelle Dickinson, and how she finally reclaimed herself and the life she deserved. Determined to share her story of perseverance and triumph as well as what she’s learned about dealing with mental illness in the workplace, Michelle launched what she hopes will be a public speaking career on Johnson & Johnson’s TEDx stage. She would love nothing more than to touch people’s lives with her story and insights in forums across the country.
Highlights of the show include:
•The impact of invisible emotional disabling
